The Association of Professional Landscape Designers (APLD) is an international organization founded in 1989. Their mission is to advance the profession of landscape design and to promote the recognition of landscape designers as qualified and dedicated professionals.
The New York Botanical Garden is an advocate for the plant kingdom. The Garden pursues its mission through its role as a museum of living plant collections arranged in gardens and landscapes across its National Historic Landmark site; through its comprehensive education programs in horticulture and plant science; and through the wide-ranging research programs of the International Plant Science Center.
Since its founding, the Garden Conservancy has done more than any other national institution to save and preserve America’s exceptional gardens for the education and enjoyment of the public.
